Bilt-Hamber · Auto-Foam; UK manufacturer page and linked auto-foam technical sheet, explicit typical 4% PIR calibration
Bilt-Hamber Auto-Foam mixing calculator
Calculate a reservoir mix for Auto-Foam’s explicit typical 4% delivered target using measured equipment output.
Calibrate with plain water first
- Fill the reservoir with plain water. Use the manufacturer’s full detergent-feed setting.
- Collect the complete discharge until that reservoir empties, then measure its total volume.
- Keep those equipment settings when using the calculated reservoir mix.
Reservoir concentration and delivered concentration differ. The example below demonstrates the distinction.
Checked application examples
Examples use volume measurements. Water already measured and finished mixture are different starting points.
Calibrated foam — typical 4% PIR
Calibrated delivered concentration. 1 L reservoir producing 10 L measured output needs 400 mL product and 600 mL water for 4% calculated PIR.
For the explicit typical 4% target, multiply all measured collected output by 0.04, then add water to fill the reservoir. Keep the calibrated equipment and feed settings.
Source location: Product page Details, typical PIR; auto-foam technical sheet, How to Use, reservoir calibration paragraph. The manufacturer product page states a typical 4% panel-impact ratio. Its technical sheet makes the basis explicit: collect all output until a plain-water reservoir empties, multiply that total by 0.04 for product, then fill the remaining reservoir space with water.

Application limits
Use on cool surfaces and follow current product application, dwell and rinsing instructions.
This tool supports the explicit typical 4% delivered target only. The separately printed 1:100–5:100 range is not converted into percentage endpoints here.
Reservoir concentration differs from panel-impact concentration. Collect all plain-water discharge until the reservoir empties, and keep the same calibrated settings.
Recalibrate after changing equipment, nozzle or orifice, pressure, water supply, detergent-feed setting or reservoir fill. A target requiring more concentrate than reservoir capacity is unsupported at that setting.
