Mix from a total or one known ingredient
Choose the manufacturer’s ratio basis, then scale two or three components from what you already know. Weight and volume are separate calculations.

Worked examples
At 2:1 by weight, 150 g total is 100 g component A and 50 g component B. Starting with 180 g of A instead requires 90 g of B and makes 270 g total. At 4:1:1 by volume, 600 mL total is 400 mL, 100 mL and 100 mL.
This scales an explicitly supplied recipe. It does not choose a product ratio, add extra liquid, or convert mass to volume without density data. Follow exact product instructions for component compatibility, mixing order and batch limits.
